In this hands-on, one-day workshop, you'll explore the creative possibilities of weaving with paper and magazine images to create dynamic, radial designs. This fun and accessible workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike who want to experiment with pattern, color, and composition in a unique way.

You'll start by learning the fundamentals of radial weaving, a technique where the pattern grows outward in a circular or spiral shape. Using various types of paper, including magazines, patterned papers, and other decorative papers, you will cut, layer, and weave to create stunning pieces of art.

We will discuss how to choose imagery that complements the weaving process, how to blend colors and patterns, and how to use paper in ways that enhance both texture and visual interest.

Whether you’re making wall art, decorative pieces, or just enjoying the process, this workshop offers a new creative outlet using everyday materials in unexpected ways.

In this Saturday Sampler class you will get a chance to try out a virtual drawing class and see if taking a class online might be a good fit for you. You will experience a standard online drawing class using supplies you already have around your home.

We will cover some basic drawing foundations, work through a series of drawing exercises, and complete one finished still life drawing. Come meet me, try out a new type of class and share some time drawing and learning with a supportive community!

This course is perfect for beginner and experienced oil or acrylic painters looking to explore painting and refine their skills. You will develop your painting proficiency through study of value, color relationships, color mixing, brush and paint handling, medium usage, composition, and more.

Demos and exercises will help you hone your abilities, while open studio time will provide you space to experiment and develop personal work, or practice new techniques with an instructor provided painting prompt.

In this Saturday Sampler class you will get a chance to try out a virtual painting class and see if taking a class online might be a good fit for you. You will experience a standard online painting class using minimal supplies.

We will cover setting up a palette, mixing paint, basic blending, and creating a black and white still life painting. Come meet me, try out a new type of class and share some time painting and learning with a supportive community!

Making art on your own can be difficult and lonely. With Art Group, you will be with other student artists who are similarly engaged with the issues of creating. This group is a chance to share and talk about art in a relaxed setting with people who know what you are going through.

Bring the work you have been making to share with the group and we will look and listen carefully to what you are doing and provide advice, pose questions, discuss the things that are working, and offer suggestions for the elements that you have been struggling with.
